Ultra Light Weight Kindle Fire HDX 8.9"!! Comfortably Held

Ask anyone who has held the latest version of the Kindle Reader; Kindle Fire HDX 8.9". This large screen from any other maker would be heavy and bulky but not Kindle's version! The HDX 8.9" is lighter weight than Kindle's own previous version as well. The resolutions is top notch (2560x1600) and pixel density (339 ppi) which is the highest quality level out of all Kindle Readers, and performance is extremely high.

I decided to test one out and I've decided to get this model for myself. Black Friday shopping is just around the corner and there is bound to be a tablet deal that would make me regret pre-ordering this reader, so instead I've decided to wait until Black Friday to find a deal on this model tablet. Not only is it extremely light weight and high res and high performance but the ratings and reviews are outstanding. If I've heard correctly, Best Buy will be having a special on Black Friday on this tablet so that is where I plan to look first.

Thing to Consider Before Buying Your Black Friday Tablet

This coming Black Friday, experts forsee that the trend will continue to shift from desktop and laptop computers to tablets and smartphones. Tablets today are taking us by storm and with the great numbers of models from various brands , it can be very difficult to select the tablet for your own needs. Here are some aspects to consider as you look for a tablet:

Features

Check on the overall functionality and capabilities of the tablet. Some may have GPS others may just function well as an eReader, some may offer a front and back camera while others may only have one. This aspect is vital to the possible uses that you can get from the tablet and if you’re the kind who love multifunctional devices, it is important that you go to every detail about their functions.

Hardware

The processor is an important factor to consider before buying a tablet, you can compare it to the engine of a car. This will dictate the speed of your tablet and the optimum performance you will need at which you can use applications. The storage memory will guage the amount of music, videos, eBooks and other content that you will using with your tablet.

Display

The screen provides the area where you view everything and the point of interaction with the tablet. One important criteria to look for is the responsiveness of the touchscreen, along with the colors, brightness, and screen resolution. The size of the screen will affect its portability and where you plan to use it. Bigger screens would normally mean that it is heavier and will require more accessories, while smaller tablets would be easier to carry and place in your pocket.
Make sure to take the time to read online reviews on the web as well as from blogs and online shopping sites like Amazon. You can gain some information on issues regarding a tablet and avoid making half hearted decisions during your Black Friday shopping.

Does Size Really Matter? Black Friday shopping.

So the new HDX 8.9 has come around and I had to see what could be all that different between that one and the previous version; Kindle HDX 7. With Black Friday just around the corner as well, I need to finish up my shopping list, and I find it very important to do your research about these types of products because it is a large investment financially. I sat down with the specs side by side and was actually shocked to find that there wasn't much difference at all! Of course the screen is larger with the new one (hence 8.9) Even the resolution isn't much better but other than than and the quality of the camera being slightly better on the new version (only by megapixels) there is NOTHING new about this device.

This is just larger in size and a little larger in price. So unless you are in need of larger viewing capabilities I don't recommend the "upgrade". Now as mentioned Black Friday will be here soon so it's nice to know that if I can find a good deal on the HDX 8.9 it wouldn't be a bad purchase but also that I know I will be satisfied with them equally as a running device. Black Friday can shock you sometimes with how great of a price deal you can find so I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for the sales!

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3

Another tablet to look forward to this Black Friday is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Portability and entertainment are packed into this tablet. It is a lightweight device that runs on Android 4.2  that fits in one hand. It is fashionable enough to carry on the road or enjoy in the comfort of your own home. Its overall measurement is at 7.4x4.37x.39 inches weighing at 10.6 ounces. With its 7 inch PLS TFT screen you have  1024x600 resolution which renders a sharp display with great colors.

It performs very well as it uses a dual-core Marvel PXA988 CPU and 1GB of system RAM. which Tablet? Saving for Black Friday shopping!

Every year I pick one thing for myself to add to my Black Friday Shopping list. This year I have decided to add a Tablet to my list. Black Friday shopping is difficult on its on so making that list is very important! I've went and used my family's and friend's tablets to try different ones to see which I would like to purchase.

These handheld reading devices are not cheap by any means so catching one on Black Friday may be the only way to get a good deal. I've found that the Ipad forces you to only use their apps and you can't get their apps on any other reading devices. If I want to play certain games I must have an Ipad to do so, while the Kindle can't play those games but offer similar app/games like the Ipad's versions. Nothing beats the real thing in the long run though, so finding a great deal is what I will be looking to find this Black Friday! Spending that little bit extra would be worth it in my opinion though, so Black Friday sale or not, not only am I hoping I find an affordable deal on that tablet I want I'm also going to be saving every penny for my Black Friday fund!

Google Nexus 7: A Superior Tablet at a Reasonable Price

One tablet that you should look forward to this Black Friday is the Nexus 7. When Google introduced the Nexus, it quickly raised the bar for android tablet manufacturers to follow in terms of performance and price. Its entry to the market has separated the performers from the mediocre tablets with its use of leading hardware and up-to-date support for the latest software.

The new version of the tablet, otherwise known as the second generation Nexus 7, is a product worth praising. Now thinner at .34 of an inch and even lighter at 10.55 Oz, its transformation is accented by its new smooth matte finish at its back with the more prominent micro USB on its edge. The processing power of the tablet comes from a 1.5 GHz Quallcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro system with a quadcore Krait CPU. The display is controlled by an Adreno 320 single core GPU and it has a large amount of RAM at 2GB. The world wide web is just one touch away after connecting through its 802.11 a/b/g/n, Dual Band, or LTE.

Close to perfection, the Nexus 7 would have been a runaway winner in every gadget review if it had support for expandable memory and a better performing rear camera. But these can be easily overlooked because of its affordable price and stellar performance.

Amazon Delays Shipment of Kindle Fire HDX 4G (both Verizon and AT&T) by 3 weeks!

Customers who had pre-ordered the 4G models of Kindle Fire HDX 7" were informed yesterday - the day the Verizon and AT&T versions  were supposed to be released - by Amazon that the shipment of these devices has been delayed by a whooping 3 weeks.

The very matter of fact email from the Amazon customer service in the wee hours (our anonymous source received it at 4 AM) did not give any reasons, just stating that "Unfortunately, we are unable to ship the item(s) as soon as we expected"

and informing the customers that the new date is December 4th. The email also said that the customer may "either refuse delivery or return it"  to amazon for a refund if the devices "arrive too late". it also urged them to consider buying the Wi-Fi models.

Since there is no other public announcement or clarification, and the message was sent in wee hours of the day the shipment was supposed to be delivered, it is very clear that Amazon is obviously trying to keep this delay under the covers as much as possible; but these PR tactics may back fire. If I were waiting anxiously for this device, getting an email on the day I was supposed to get the device in my hands would appear sneaky and hideous.

some bloggers have attributed this delay to a potential side effect of the government shut down which might have delayed the FCC approval. (click here of the source) .

Whatever be the reason, one would assume someone at Amazon knew about this delay and could have informed customers ahead, rather than waiting for the expected day of delivery. Also, just sending emails to customers waiting for their devices lack of an official public notification definitely cast a show on company's otherwise impeccable brand image in terms of customer satisfaction and general trustworthiness.

Amazon's website is currently showing the various 4G models - both Verizon and AT&T as December 18th, and delivery by December 24th, but only if you pick the 2 day shipping option.

Amazon, Inc. shares closed today at $368.45, up by $1.03.
